Art Friends Warwickshire funded a work shop for Ukrainian children at which they made traditional headdresses for display during Refugee Week

The organiser of the workshop, Artist, Libby Esler, wrote to thank us:

Thank you, Art Friends Warwickshire, for your support. The exhibition, at All Saints church, Leamington, was a tremendous success, with approximately 85 people in attendance at our opening event last night.

We were able to create 57 headdresses during the workshop, with women, children, and even some dads participating in the construction process. The workshop played a central and integral role in the exhibition, and I am truly grateful for your support.

The postcards with your lovely stickers are still available on show  for people to write messages. These will remain until the exhibition closes on June 23rd. This ongoing installation provides attendees with the opportunity to participate in the exhibition and send messages of joy and hope to our Ukrainian community. The installation will continue to grow as the week progresses.

The children who participated in making postcards for their loved ones thoroughly enjoyed the activity, although many chose to take their creations home. Thank you once again for your support and for helping to make the exhibition a success.
