Awards – All Saints Leamington – December 2022

Here is an email from the Development Manager of All Saints Church, Leamington Spa to Art Friends Warwickshire, received in June 2023

It is a long time since we met and chatted and I wanted to give you a quick update on the impacts of your generous funding.

As you know the Art Friends Warwickshire grant of £1,000 went a substantial way to providing for professional exhibition equipment by the purchase of robust display boards, which were show cased at our very successful Arts Fest last year.

Not only was the event attended by over 1,300 people but interest has grown on the shared use of the equipment provided.

To date the display boards have been loaned to 2 small local art exhibitions in the Riverside Glass House, and are required for a local school photography exhibition in July.

The School is  a specialist education provision dedicated to supporting young people with autism and high anxiety who may struggle in mainstream educational settings.

Furthermore the availability of this equipment has allowed the attraction of 10 artists to All Saints Church who will display their work during the 2 week summer Warwickshire Open Studio Event in June and early July, the venue being promoted by WOS as a key part of the event.

As if this were not enough the boards have been repainted and maintained by the benefactors, a sturdy trolley for safe and careful handling has been donated – which is a great benefit within the church as well – and word is spreading about the resource and the venue.

This is a really positive case study and I thought that you should be aware of how your generous support has helped us start to fulfil our vision of using our resources to attract greater community benefit for all.

Many thanks and kind regards

…… that Trug, the exhibition at Jephson Gardens last week (1-4th June), also used our sponsored boards, properly acknowledged, and it was heartening to see them being used.
